PAGE Advocacy Services

Our volunteers were given specialized training in serving as Advocates for parents who are facing a GIEP meeting and may wish to have such a volunteer appear with them.

If you are having difficulty with the GIEP process and would like to consult with someone from PAGE, please follow these steps:

1. Call the Helpline at 1-888-736-6443. Our HelpLine volunteer will return your call shortly and discuss your situation at length.
2. Call or email your local affiliate chapter president. They are often your best source of help as they understand the local situation. See the Affiliate List for a chapter near you.
3. Call or email your Regional Director. They stand ready to discuss your situation with you.
4. Contact info@penngifted.org. You will be referred to someone who can assist you or a referral will be made to appropriate websites.

Please keep in mind that PAGE is run completely by volunteers who are employed full-time in other capacities. We do our best to serve you and the gifted children in Pennsylvania. Be patient, and try contacting us again if we don't respond promptly.

Effective October, 2003, we have finished another Advocacy Training Session and have further assistance available to help you with your questions. Please contact your Regional Affiliate Leader for names and phone numbers of fellow parents who are willing to spend some time with you. There is no charge for this service.
